Debi Nixon
Debi Nixon is the Executive Director of Adult Discipleship and Catalyst Ministry for The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, Leawood, KS, one of the fastest growing, most influential mainline churches in America where the adult membership has increased from four to 14,000 since 1990.
Her two-fold role includes leading two teams: the Adult Discipleship team that includes connection ministries, small groups, affinity ministry, leadership development, and missions, plus a team that focuses on the renewal of the church through conferencing, teaching events for church leaders, and special initiatives.
Debi has served as a presenter for Group’s Children’s Ministry Magazine Live, Small Group Live, Church Volunteer Central, and as a contributing author to numerous articles. Debi is also the author of CATCH:Connecting and Attracting Visitors, by Abingdon Press.
Alan Hirsch
Alan is the founding director of Forge Mission Training Network. He is the co-founder of shapevine.com an international forum for engaging with world transforming ideas. He is also part of the leadership team of Christian Associates, a missional church-planting agency with focus on Western Europe. Known for his innovative approach to mission, Alan is a teacher and key mission strategist for churches across the western world. His popular book, The Shaping of Things to Come (with Michael Frost), is widely considered to be a foundational text on mission. Alan's recent book, The Forgotten Ways, has quickly become a key reference for missional thinking, particularly as it relates to movements. His book, ReJesus, is a radical restatement about the role that Jesus plays in defining missional movements. His latest book, with his wife Debra, Untamed, explores a wilder form of discipleship that the prevailing forms.
His experience in leadership includes leading a local church movement among the marginalized as well as heading up the Mission and Revitalization work of his denomination. Alan is an adjunct professor at Fuller Seminary and speaks frequently throughout Australia, Europe, and the United States.
Harvey Carey
Harvey is the founder and Senior Pastor of the Citadel of Faith Covenant Church, in Detroit, Michigan, the fastest-growing multicultural church in the region. He is known internationally as a dynamic speaker whose inspiring leadership and vision for urban renewal unites people across boundaries of race, age, class, and culture.
A graduate of Trinity International University, Carey served for nearly twenty years as the Youth and Assistant Pastor of Salem Baptist Church in Chicago, where he developed a nationally-emulated teen ministry model that reached thousands of inner-city youth in Chicago and in urban areas across the nation.
Carey's international speaking ministry continues to change lives with the transforming truth of God's word. He is a skilled communicator known for his ability to speak to any audience with passion, clarity, and authority.
Committed to providing real solutions for distressed communities, Carey is Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Central Detroit Christian Community Development Corporation, a non-profit providing social services, housing, and enrichment activities for children.
