High-Intensity Training: The Equipping Institute
The Equipping Institute is an interactive, intensive training that will assist you in creating an equipping culture that empowers both staff and lay persons. Running in conjunction with LifeServe 2010, the add-on cost for The Equipping Institute is $250. Participants receive module sessions beginning on Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at 1:30 pm, and concluding on Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Noon.
At this training, you’ll learn about equipping leadership, ministry systems, selecting and building teams, and creating a culture of ministry empowerment. Whether you’re just beginning to build an equipping ministry or expanding an existing system, you’ll leave with a renewed vision and clear plans for your next steps in assessing church culture, supporting an equipping ministry and building effective gift-based teams. This training, formerly titled “Level 1”, has been updated and revised in order to provide best practices and current trends.
This solid approach to gift-based ministry was developed by equipping ministry practitioners and based on the book, The Equipping Church, by Sue Mallory. It’s been designed to assist you in developing or enhancing your equipping ministry system; to help you discover who you are as leaders; and to connect you with a network of people committed to equipping others in gift-based team ministry.
At the completion of this training you’ll be able to:
- Assess church culture and leadership style
- Understand equipping ministry support systems
- Identify key elements for building effective gift-based teams
- Define implementation steps
Participation in the Institute requires attendance at all 10 sessions. The additional fee of $250 is required and will be added to your LifeServe conference registration. Participants at The Equipping Institute will receive exclusive, extended training sessions, a full workbook, take-home handouts, two lunches, coffee breaks, and a certificate of completion.
